Presently the director of Calendar Review and Analysis Office (CRAO) of the UMMS Office Of Research in Ann Arbor, MI, Gina Vuocolo-Branch, CPC-I, CPC-H, CPC, CHCA, is responsible for the content and integrity of the core documents for research studies. She has successfully implemented a software tool called eThority/MBECT for clinical research billing calendars, budgets, and subject enrollment. She also developed UMHS’s position statement for Medicare secondary trigger language and injury language within sponsor contracts, and informed consents.
She is a recipient of University of Michigan Medical School Administration Award 2010 for leadership, as well as integrity, collaboration, and team work. She was University of Toledo’s HIM Advisory Board Member in 2008, a coding officer of the Ann Arbor chapter of the AAPC from 1998 to 2004 and again from 2006 to 2010, and a veteran speaker in a number of prestigious events.
Ms. Branch was director of revenue management services of the UMTC Revenue Cycle in Toledo, OH from 2006 to 2009. From 2007 to 2011, she was an instructor of medical terminology, billing and coding at Monroe County Community College.
She has been serving as an instructor of CPC and CPC-H three-day boot camp of CodingCert.
