ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Quita W. Edwards , RT®, CPC, COSC, CPC-I

Quita has over 28 years experience in the orthopedic specialty and Medical Coding.  She was employed with Forsyth Street Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Centers in Macon Georgia for 22 years.  She is owner and CEO of an independent billing company and is an independent contractor for coding, auditing and educational services.  She holds a specialty certification in Orthopaedic Surgery and is an AAPC licensed PMCC instructor teaching the Medical Coding Curriculum.

Quita is a national workshop presenter for AAPC and The Coding Institute among other where she is responsible for continued education for all aspects of CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10, Evaluation and Management, Auditing, Compliance, and Professional Development.

She is a member of the Central Georgia Local Chapter of AAPC and served as president elect in 2005, President in 2006, and education officer in 2007 and 2008. Quita is a member of the American Health Information Management Association, The Georgia Association of Orthopaedic Executives, and had a two year membership with Macon State Toastmasters International.
