Tallarin Cooper, CMA, CPC, CPC-I

A 13-year veteran of professional coding, Tallarin Cooper, CMA, CPC, CPC-I is presently a business analyst at Prison Health in Brentwood, TN where she develops and maintain the technical guide used for the development of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) used by its clients. Her five-year experience as coding educator has developed her to a goal-oriented individual, with the ability to direct complex projects from concept to fully operational status.

As coding auditor of Vanderbilt Medical Group in Nashville, TN from 2008 to 2009, Tallarin performed quarterly departmental Audits including for new hires, physician documentation, and coding accuracy for established coders. She also facilitated educational programs, providing continuing education for coding professionals facility-wide.

Tallarin is cofounder of AAPC’s local chapter in Brentwood, and served as its president from 2003 to 2007. Today she remains an active member, keenly sharing her expertise as coding educator with the community.

Tallarin is currently enrolled at Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) taking up Bachelors of Applied Science.
